New Zealand's prestigious NZV8 Series is welcoming the launch of a new Auckland based V8 racing team in preparation for the 2007/2008 Tier 1 NZV8 National Championship Series.

Team Owners Ted Jarvis and Marie Person have been working over the past year with  prospective sponsors and business partners to develop the new commercial team.

EMA Northern's Chief Executive, Alasdair Thompson is excited about the arrival of the new team, and welcomes the opportunity it represents to develop Kiwi motorsport.

Ted Jarvis is no stranger to the national circuits, with four national championship titles in the 0 - 1600 Touring Car Series, and he has competed at Bathurst twice.  Ted highlights his role is to establish the team to support training and mentorship of promising young drivers in the coming years.

"There is a lot of young budding talent in New Zealand, demonstrated by the achievements of drivers such as Scott Dixon and Johnny Reid", Ted says.

Team Principal, Marie Person, an environmental scientist with a career in fundraising for the health sector, is fueled by her lifetime passion for motorsport with a strong family connection to the great Bruce McLaren.

Together, Ted and Marie have attracted an impressive number of sponsor partners to join the Team.

"Sponsorship is not only about brand awareness, but also providing opportunites for business-to-business relations and more importantly, sales generation", Ted says.
